ABOUT

I am a Minnesota-based studio artist creating large-scale, nature-inspired paintings that bridge expressive abstraction and material exploration. Rooted in intuition and experimentation, my practice embraces layered processes and gestural mark-making, allowing each work to develop its own unique visual language.
My paintings explore themes of transformation, memory, and self-discovery, using atmosphere and landscape as metaphors for the relationship between our inner and outer worlds. Influenced by the changing seasons, travel, and the quiet beauty of the rural Minnesota landscape, I seek to capture moments of reflection, movement, and connection.
I hold a B.S. in Mass Communications and a B.F.A. in 2D Studies from St. Cloud State University, and earned my M.F.A. in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2022. My work is held in academic and private collections throughout the United States and France.
My gallery space is located in a historic former casket-making building in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District, while I create
from my home studio in the rural Minnesota countryside.
