ABOUT

I am a Minnesota-based studio artist known for large scale, nature inspired, innovative, expressive paintings. My practice is rooted in experimentation, using intuitive mark-making and material exploration that allow each work to develop its own visual language. Themes of self-exploration emerge through atmosphere and landscape, serving as metaphors for the relationship between inner and outer worlds.
I hold a B.S. in Mass Communications and a B.F.A. in 2D Studies from St. Cloud State University, and earned my M.F.A. in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2022. My work is held in academic and residential collections in the United States and France.

My gallery space is located in a historic former casket-making building in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District. Outside the studio, I draw inspiration from travel, the seasonal rhythms of my gardens, and the evolving Minnesota landscape. I live and create in the rural countryside with my husband and two dogs, grounded in a life shaped by nature and creativity.
